{to give is to live} – charitybabycharity!

942613_664310726929464_1165805570_nMonday night, I had the privilege of attending a charity function, organized by the Granger Bay Hotel students, in order to raise money to register the 18 000 rhinos of our beautiful country on the DNA Database established and run by the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory at the Faculty of Veterinary Science of the University of Pretoria, also known as Onderstepoort. This amazing non-provit company was established by SAB and one of our favourite cricketers, Mark Boucher. The main idea of the evening was to host a silent auction and raise as much raise money and awareness! And to have fun 🙂

My dear friend, the owner of ASAP Staffing & Promotions, Jovan Beukes attended the event with me – and what a night we had! Not only were we spoiled by some of the best wine the Cape has to offer (Graham Beck… need I say more!) but also the most scrumpcious canapes, all made by the Granger Bay students. On arrival we were greeted by a fire dancer – absolutely spectacular! This definitely set the right mood and served a great purpose in showcasing what the rest of the evening had to offer. Although it was a chilly, typical Capetonian evening, Jovan and I were stunned by the beautiful surroundings of the beach and mountains – what an honour it must be to study Hospitality at an institution with such beautiful views. I really have no idea how they focus each day, if it was me, I would be staring at the ocean THE ENTIRE DAY! Wow. Truly amazing. Manny and The Band entertained us the evening and we just had to get the details of these stunning artists!

At the end of the evening we were the proud ‘winners’ of two amazing ‘prizes’! Dinner and massages at some of Cape Town’s most elite spa’s and restaurants! {HEAVEN} – two of my favourite things: food & being spoiled!! How lucky can a gal get hmm ;)More details to follow shortly!

Here’s a couple pic’s of us, taken by the upcoming photographer, Edo! Be sure to like his page on Facebook, Edo Photography.
Joing us on the one picture, is Blake Walters, the star Granger Bay student of the evening – he really pulled this entire event together! And on the other pic is all the ‘winners’ :)Lucky us!
