Here’s a foolproof & easy as pie recipe from a friend of a friends granny 🙂 enjoy!

Original recipe makes 8 servings

– 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
– 1/2 teaspoonsbaking powder
– a teaspoon of salt
– a tablespoon of white sugar
– 1/4 cup of milk
– 1 egg
– 3 tablespoons of butter, melted

{follow these directions}

1.In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk, egg and melted butter; mix until smooth.
2.Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Freedom Hill {venue viewing}

Last Saturday I went on a mini-road trip (really mini – like Somerset West to Paarl) to have a look at the boutique wedding & winery estate, Freedom Hill. Oooh my goodness – it’s amazing! It’s so glamorous, yet inviting and intimate with perfect touches around every bend & corner – a definite must see! Here’s some pictures I took, but I promise you – it’s much better to see this little stunner with your own eyes!
